Its coming tomorrow! (YaY). As much as I'd love to write a post about the fantastic features in this release, I'm in an unfortunate position of knowledge from an upgrade perspective. Upon contacting O2 regarding the upgrade to the 3GS (http://www.apple.com/iphone/) I have found that all exhisting customers need to pay off the rest of their current contract :-o
This will (I'm sure) create a lot of disgruntuled O2 customers. iPhone contracts are 18 months, and they must know that Apple will release new hardware every 12 months...placing us (the exhisting customers) in a bit of a quandry...especially as ontop of getting out of the contract I have to purchase the phone AND put myself back in the current position I find myself in and sign up to another 18 month contract.
I'm waiting to see what happens, I'm sure that this won't be the case in a few weeks.

iGoogle Blogger Gadget
If your excited about the title of this blog, don't be - it doesn't work. What would have been an excellent & easy way to update my blog actually turned out to be a waste of my time. I entered a full entry, clicked publish and it didn't work...further research also suggests others have had the same problem.
If your a developer and would love to help loads of bloggers out there, create a widget for iGoogle so we can all update our blogs from our homepage!

Laptop Design
I'm sat watching England vs Andora (currently 5-0 up) whilst browsing the net with my new Studio XPS laptop - which has many annoying features I thought I'd rant about here:
Reflective Screen - Looks great in the shop, but friggin annoying when all I can see is my ugly mush in its reflection
USB Ports - All located on the left hand side, which means that as a right hander I have to trail my USB mouse cable all the way around the back of my machine
Power - This is located on the right hand side of the laptop, so I have a flippin' huge power cable right next to my mouse which keeps getting in the way
FingerPrint Promoting Surface - honestly, its impossible to keep clean!
Hinge - Opening this thing when its on your legs results in skin pinching...
I wouldn't mind, but I've only had it a few days and its already slowing up!. My advice, don't buy one, or atleast bear these things in mind when your having a look around.

Its taken a while...ok maybe a long time!
Its 20:58 on the 25th October 2008, over 5 years since I graduated in web design and embarresingly this is my first ever blog post.
I'm a reader, not a writer. My iPhone is full of newsgator feeds & podcasts about whats happening on the net, I'm constantly reading white papers about how the Internet is changing, whats heading our way, and what I'll be driving through at work. I'm involved in many groups, forums...taking a back seat listening to what is being discussed (ok, occasionally I'll put in my 10 pennies worth in).
So here it goes, time to give back to the community...
